So you’ve heard about how much fun it is being an ACE mystery shopper. Now you need to know how to become one. This step by step blog will help get you started.
Go to the ACE Mystery Shopping website at www.acemysteryshopping.com and click on the picture that says “Mystery Shoppers Click here”
Click “Become a Mystery Shopper” and fill out the information on the page that comes up.
Fill out all information until you get to the page that reads “Registration Successful!!” You will receive an e-mail with your login information. Sometimes these emails are sent to spam. Check your spam folder if you don’t receive the email in your inbox.
Go back to the ACE Shopper page and click the login button.
The login page will come up.
Your username will be your email address. Then put in the password that was sent to you by email.
After logging in, you will be directed to your new ACE Mystery Shopping inbox. This is where you will see any shops awarded to you. Upon your initial visit, it will be empty. On the top left you will see the words “My Settings” next to the word “home.” If you hover your mouse pointer over the words “My Settings”, a drop down menu will appear. This is where you can change your password or set preferences.
When you are ready to look for shops, go to the “My Stuff” box located in the top left hand corner below the menu button. At the bottom of this box, click on “Open Opportunities.” This is where you accept new shops.
When you arrive at the “Open Opportunities” inbox, there may not be any shops. The open opportunities box is automatically set to show shops available in your zip code. If you would like to expand the search area or change the search area, you can do that at the top of the inbox. You can change the area searched, just change the number in the box next to the word “distance.” If you would like search a 20-mile radius, put “20” in the box. If you want to search a 5-mile radius, put “5” in the box. You must click “update filter” for your changes to take effect.
You can search by city, state, and postal code (zip code). You must click “update filter” after making changes.
You can also click on the “Map View” tab to see a visual of how far the shops are away from you.
When you have determined the range and area you are willing to shop, you can scroll through the opportunities available. You will want to take special note of the due dates. Do not accept shops unless you are able to complete the shop and submit the survey before the due date.
Next you will want to look at the information for this shop. You can see the client objectives by clicking on the symbol. Some shops may have additional day or time restrictions such as, no weekends or lunch only.
After that, you will want to see how much the project fee is. Some shops involve more interaction than others and will usually have a higher fee. Some shops may only require a phone call or observation and will normally award a lower fee. You will want to make the decision whether the project fee is worth the distanced traveled or time involved before accepting the project.
You can also click on the project banner for more information.
After you have determined which shop you want to accept, you can click the button on the right hand side of the shop listing.
Some shops may already be taken by another shopper but still can be available for a backup shopper. If the first shopper declines the shop for any reason, the shop will automatically be awarded to a backup shopper.
Accepting a shop does not guarantee the shop will be awarded to you. If a shop is awarded to you, you will be notified by email. Make sure your email address stays up to date in our system to ensure you get emails from us. The shop will appear in your ACE inbox once it is awarded.
