Shopper FAQ:

Q: How will I get paid?

A: We pay every month on the 15th for shops completed the prior month. (example: If you do a shop on March 17th, you will be paid on April 15th) We pay by check.

Q: I don't want to apply if you don't have work in my area. How can I find out if you have work in my area.

A: You should apply no matter where you live. We have assignments available nationwide, including Canada and Puerto Rico.

Q: How do I know if I know my application has been approved?

A: Once you are approved and in the system, you will be put on rotation for shops that may be available in your area. If no shops are displayed for your area, they are no longer available.

Q: How do I receive notifications of assignments?

A: We email shoppers with instructions to login to our system when there is something available in their area.

Q: If I am accepted, will I become an employee of ACE Mystery Shopping?

A: No. All of our shoppers are independent contractors, who are responsible for their own tax records. We do provide a 1099 to shoppers if their earnings exceed $600.00 per calendar year.

Q: What happens if I sign up for an assignment and cannot complete it?

A: If a shopper does not complete an assignment they have signed up to do, we will not be able to use them for future shops.

Q: What do your editors and schedulers look for in a good shopper?

A: Our schedulers look for timely reporting and a spotless record. (i.e. shoppers who cancel shops repeatedly are either removed from our system or not given the opportunity for as many assignments). Our editors look for quality report content, including extensive narrative and observations and excellent grammar.

Q: Is there any way to become a "preferred" shopper?
A: Yes! Shoppers who are reliable, responsive to our editors and excellent at writing reports will be given first choice on some of our elite assignments.

Q: Would there ever be a reason I would not get paid for an assignment?
A: Yes! But only if you don't follow directions!

1) If reports are not submitted within the normal time frame in the instructions of each individual shop AND you do not make contact with us.

2) If you do not respond to questions the editors may ask, via email.

3) If you do not complete the assignment according to the specific guidelines.

4) If a report is falsified in any way..

5) If an invoice or receipt was not turned in per the instructions of the shop.

6) Not having your current or complete contact information on your shopper profile (i.e. Address, telephone number)

7) Shopping the wrong location.
